A bun in the Oven

I am expecting a little one. I hope it's just one. : ) I found out on Saturday and thought that it wasn't true. We were taking extra precautions and I guess some things are just meant to be. I am about 8 weeks along and haven't had any sickness, knock on wood. I am extremely scared and don't know what to expect, but I know that I have lots of family and friends who are willing to help out when I need them to. I keep thinking how can this be true? but I know that we aren't in control of our lives, it's ultimately up to Heavenly Father. We were trying to wait 3-4 years so this definitely wasn't in the plans. But things will work out!

P.s. that trip we were taking...its put on hold for a while, other things came up :)

Up to Date

Christmas is just around the corner, but before that is my birthday! I don't really feel like it's December yet, and I really don't feel like it should be my birthday in 16 days. I am very excited to turn 21. Also this month, we will have been married a year and a half. That is really weird. Time has sure flown by. Soon enough, we will be celebrating our 2 year anniversary.

I have been going to the gym a lot. I am trying to train for a 3k and build up my endurance. I am doing better than I thought. It also helps to be able to watch my favorite shows on the tv.

Lately, I have been cooking a lot more. Getting all these delicious recipes off the internet. Last night I made Ziti. It's like lasagna but with ziti noodles. It was very good. Today I made pulled pork sandwiches. I wish I could have snapped a photo but it was all gone before I could get the chance. That is ok, I have been getting some requests to make it again and again.

We have been really blessed lately. As I wrote in my last few posts, so many amazing things have happened. Daniel has gotten a lot of work lately. He has been doing a lot of work for his mom rennovating her home. Also, he has 2 jobs that might take. It's nice to not be at the mercy of someone, but be able to pick and choose what you want.

I don't want to get my hopes up, but we are planning a trip to somewhere sometime early next year and everything goes well, it will be something both of us have wanted to do since we met. I won't say where because I don't want to get my hopes up, but the chances or high. Let's just say its out of the country and not in North America. We will see. :)

Also, thank you so much for your compliments on my new table, I love it so much!! I am so glad you guys do too. and even though you joked about me helping you decorate, I would be more than happy to give you some of my opinions.

New Table

We went to Savers yesterday and bought a rather hideous coffee table, but it had a lot of potential in my opinion. Daniel lugged the furniture to the front of the store and paid 15 bucks for it. We only have a ford fusion, so fitting that in the car was a challenge. Daniel was confident, I wasn't, but luckily we live just a few blocks from Savers or else my panic mode would have gone off real fast. We got some sand paper and paint, and started working.

It was lots of fun. So I have been thinking about doing this lately, I am a very goal oriented person, but don't always get them done. But I do like goals. I want to do a 5k. I know its only 3 miles but seriously not even sure if I can do that. June 12, 2010 is when they are having the utah valley marathon. I am going to start training after Christmas seriously, but I'll start now just not as seriously. It costs $20, so let me know if you want to be apart of it.

In other news, I haven't eaten one single piece of food today....And I am not even hungry. This is so weird!! Wish this happened to me on fast Sunday. :)

Crafty me

Christmas Decorations are just soo expensive and you only use them once a year! Well, Usually....

I decided that I should start making some! I got this awesome
tutorial inspiration and it was really fun to make. I also am making our Christmas Stockings this year. That is harder than it looks!! But I will show you the finish product when I am done.

Thankful For

I watched that new Mormon Messages Video on having random New Yorkers being asked what they are thankful for. If you want to watch it, Scroll down. It really made me think of all the things that I have been blessed with. It's such an amazing feeling to know that no matter how hard life is and how hard things are, that our Heavenly Father is always there for us and things will always work out. This Thanksgiving, I am grateful for:
  • Our Cozy little Apartment
  • Our loving, supportive families who live only 2 miles away, if that.
  • Our Strong Testimonies of the Gospel
  • My Job and Daniels Soon to be job :)
  • Being able to see, hear and walk
  • My husband who makes sure that I laugh at least once a day even when I am so annoyed with life. (and for getting New Moon off the internet so I was able to watch the movie in the comfort of my bed and not paying a fortune)
  • Our camera so we can record our lives and look back and remember we used to be young, but very happy, driven people.
  • Temple marriage-such a comfort to know that my husband is all mine forever and ever and ever.
  • My strong amazing friends who make me laugh and feel good. I love being able to just sit and talk for hours about our lives.
  • Visiting Teaching-as much as I complain that its already been a month and it feels like I just did it, I am grateful for those friendships I have made because I wouldn't have if it weren't for VT.
These are just a tiny part of how grateful I am for all my many blessings. This list is never ending and always will be.

Doing New Things

I was thinking, ever since I met my husband I have done things that I never had done before I had met him and some of those things still do!
  • The first time I went to Carls Jr was with him.
  • Went kayaking...still like doing that
  • used spray paint
  • been to Washington
  • got a gym membership
  • find out what type of knot a guys tie has and what direction his stripes on the tie go
  • got a credit card
  • woke up at 8 am on a Saturday and actually wanted to
  • been inside a jail, but not actually put behind bars
  • Most of all, went after my aspirations-starting to get a Graphic Design Degree, starting my Jewelry Shop, and giving me confidence to be more daring in my sewing.
I hope his list is just as long as mine.

Life just gets better and better

Heavenly Father sure loves us. Daniel already had a job offer today, but declined it because they wanted him to work 40-50 hours a week. He is a student. Not Possible. AND more importantly, a husband. Double not possible. He got his last check from work today and lets just say his boss was very very generous in the amount that was given to him. It has helped us a lot!! We are paid up on a few months of bills. YAY. Just being cautious folks. Then he has an interview tomorrow and a possible job offer if he gets a paper that he needs for a background check. Life is freakin awesome!! I just wanted to let you all know that. Thank you to all those that prayed for us. I wish I could just come over and give you a hug and a plate of cookies, seriously I wish I could! It means soo very much to me.
Its only Monday and this week is starting off right.

And I almost forgot! Today Daniel was flipping through some books from his Mission and he found $80 in there! We were shocked. He hasn't touched these books for almost 3 years. You always hear those stories from people who say they are in need and they find a envelope of money in it. I never thought that could be possible, but seriously anything is. He said he remembered the reason it was in there because for Christmas and his birthday people would send him money and he would just put it in there because it was no good to him since he was serving in England. This isn't a coincidence that we found it now. Life at times can be so amazing.
